Seth is the kind of person who seems like he’s halfway between a nap and a flirt. He has a lazy, charisma of someone who doesn't try hard to get attention — but doesn't care if he has it either. Behind his eyelids is someone emotionally attuned, and loyal. He's not often loud w/his affection; he shows it with small gestures — snacks, home-cooked meals, letting someone(reeshire) crawl under his hoodie, making sure you're well fed.

GENERAL

Seth's childhood was a mix of privilege & neglect, the kind of upbringing where he'd always have, clothes, food in surplus; but never the Emotional needs that a child needed. His parents, both rich executives, were always wrapped up in their careers. They didn't know how to care for what he wanted. Family dinners were more about expectations than connection - & a very large silence daily allowance. Seth learned to fill the void; masking— then maybe people would look past his loneliness. This changed when he met Reeshire.Ā

  • Talks with lazy gestures, rests his hands on his hips, drags fingers through his hair absentmindedly.

  • Never in a rush. If he's eating, he's savoring each bite. If he's walking, it's a stroll. Life isn't a race.Ā

  • Plays with Reeshire's tail absentmindedly. & Likes to watch her frizz when he's happy/embarrassed Typical for a guy, he’s a little gross. His socks never match. He eats cold leftovers from the container. Sniff tests, Burps mid sentence, Scratch in public, fart & blame the floorboards. But he’s also immensely caring in meaningful ways — He tucks a blanket around you, makes you a sandwich w/tea, and talks with you

But just like anyone else, Seth has some bad habits &/or troublesome traits of his own.

  • Deflection/ Masking with Humor; Seth rarely takes things seriously on the surface, especially when it comes to his own feelings. This can make him hard to connect with when things get emotionally intense. When Reeshire reaches out in rare moments of vulnerability, Seth jokes, dodge the question, or act like it’s ā€œnot that deep.ā€ ...

  • Habitual Lying / Hiding Finances; Seth hides the extent of his wealth, not just out of humility, but as a test—and as a game. He wants to know who’s ā€œreal.ā€ But this creates an unstable foundation for relationships. He might lie by omission about huge things—like owning property, or still getting passive income from family.

  • Weaponized Apathy: When someone hurts him or pushes too hard, Seth knows exactly how to cut deep—by acting like he doesn’t care. He’s too chill, too relaxed. He ghosts. He shrugs off conflict like it’s not even worth reacting to. He doesn't yell. He just evaporates. This drives others mad and leaves a wound, especially to someone as emotionally alert and sensitive as Reeshire.

  • Emotional Stripping &/or Mindbreaking: He’s interested in, both sexually &/or nonsexually in the slow unpeeling of someone’s defenses—seeing someone go from distant to needy, rigid to pliant. Seth may be drawn to the idea of someone falling apart in his arms. Not just crying, but sobbing, clinging, breaking. His patience is a game of power, even when he swears it isn’t. He waits and waits until someone’s desperate enough to crack open. Then he acts like he did nothing at all. This can cross into emotional manipulation, especially if he withholds affection just to stretch out the need.

  • Obsessive Food-ings: Given his love of food and comfort, Seth might have a fixation on feeding others—or being fed—to the point where it becomes fetishistic. Not just eating. Consumption. Feeding someone until they’re full, dazed, undone. Whispering encouragements. Stroking their throat. It makes him feel present. Necessary. But also fuels control—because they’re always full because of him. ā€œI Want to Ruin You, Then Put You Back Togetherā€ Fantasy; secret fantasies of breaking someone down—emotionally, physically—just so he can be the one to piece them back together.

First impressions: Chill, Lazy & Unmotivated, Emotionally Detached & Unbothered. Smug & Vauge True personality: Observant & Emotionally Attuned, Emotionally Soft & Nurturing, Gentle Giant, Experimental

ABILITIES

  • Sticky Palms: Similar to caterpillar prolegs, his hands and feet can adhere to surfaces with a sticky, subtle grip. It’s not a Spider-Man level stickiness, but he can hang onto walls, ceilings, or objects with ease—perfect for lounging in weird, elevated spots.

  • Molting: When extremely stressed or overwhelmed, he can shed his outer skin, leaving behind a soft, iridescent shell. This molting process can also serve as a reset button—letting him expel toxins, reset his nervous system, or heal minor injuries. It’s a vulnerable process, though, and leaves him weak and sensitive for hours afterward.

  • Toxin Storage & Chemical Secretion: Seth is pretty resistant to most toxins that'd kill most. He absorbs toxins from the plants they consume, storing them in his body as a defense mechanism. He can release noxious chemicals or irritating fluids when threatened- it's not common but, at times he does it.. These can range from foul-smelling secretions to irritating substances that cause rashes or discomfort.

  • Thick, Padded Skin: Seth’s body is thick, plush, and incredibly durable. He can absorb impacts that would bruise or break someone normally, making him resistant to blunt force damage. This makes him skilled at also being a soft landing for others and makes him almost impossible to knock down easily.. It also acts as a natural insulator, keeping him warm in cold environments and preventing injury from sharp objects.

  • Silk: self explanatory, but not an ability seen/used often

LORE

CHILDHOOD (5-14)

Seth’s childhood; for as much as it was showered in money, privledge and quiet- The unnoticed desperation of wanting someone to see beyond his surface were loud.

His parents, distant and absorbed in their high-powered careers, rarely saw him as anything other than a product to be kept in line with polished manners and respectable grades. Love was something that was expected to be shown through actions—and while seth in a way never blamed them (or realized until way later) thought it was a blessing in disguse for a good portion of his childhood years; to get anything he wants just because he asked felt like a godsend. From buying the latest tech or sending him off to an expensive summer camp—but it was a shallow love, one that didn’t come with warmth

Seth’s ability to laugh at himself, crack jokes, and charm others was a defense mechanism—a way to keep people at arm's length while pretending that everything was fine.

TEEN YEARS (15-17)

As he grew older, Seth became skilled at concealing his loneliness; his face always marked with a smug-almost unreadable smirk.

He was the class clown, the friend everyone called to hang out with, the guy who was always ready with a sarcastic quip. People liked him, sure, but few ever really understood him, and he learned to keep that part of himself buried deep. He never realy found himswelf having any close friends, in a way always feeling like people only were around him because of his massive amount of trickled down wealth.

After high school, Seth worked odd jobs to keep himself busy—anything to avoid confronting the hollow feeling that sat in his chest when the laughter faded away. He began to concel more and more about himself- the biggest thing being the money- In a way, a test to see how many people liked him for him

YOUNG ADULT (18-EARLY 20s)

ADULT (21-NOW)

At this moment in time, Seth was working at a comic/gaming store -- Reeshire wasn't a regular .. but Seth had seen him a couple times, always in the evenings; always lingering in the aisles - never talking to many people .. always quietly browsing as if trying to make a well informed decision.. something to occupy his mind.

Reeshire had this aura that Seth couldn’t quite place. He wasn’t shy, but there was a hesitancy in the way he moved, the way he seemed to minimize himself into the background. Seth didn’t know why it intrigued him so much; after all, he’d seen plenty of quiet types pass through the store. But there was something specicially about Reeshire — something about the sadness in his eyes—that made Seth want to get closer, even if he wasn’t sure why.

One evening, rght before the store's closing, he noticed Reeshire browsing near the back of the store again, staring at a shelf filled with vintage records. That strange aura was back again, as though he were a bit lost in his thoughts. It was one of those rare moments when Seth, normally always quick to joke or flirt, felt compelled to do something... different. Instead of cracking a joke or making a sarcastic comment, he simply walked up to Reeshire.

ā€œNeed a hand with anything? You look like you're on a quest for something important,ā€

Seth spoke with a soft smile, trying to keep the tone light, even though his curiosity about Reeshire had started to edge into something deeper. And Reeshire looked up, startled, his gaze meeting Seth’s for a brief moment before he quickly looked away.

ā€œI... just looking for something specific,ā€

Reeshire spoke low and carefully. Seth, sensing the hesitation, didn’t press. Instead, he reached up and pulled down a box of old records that had just come in. It was a little grander than most of the thrift store's usual finds, an old vinyl collection that Seth thought Reeshire might like.

ā€œThese just came in. You might find something you’re into here,ā€ he said, nudging the box toward him.

Reeshire was confused- clearly not sure how to respond.

ā€œI wasn’t really looking for anything like that,ā€

Reeshire murmured again. Hesitation, and fear- but, this time there was interest in his eyes. Seth, sensing an opportunity, continued to prod.

ā€œYou never know what you'll find. Sometimes it’s the stuff you didn’t expect that’s the most interesting,ā€

Seth was eager- he was getting somewhere. Reeshire didn’t say much more, but when he left the store that night, he took the box of records with him. It was one of those moments where Seth wasn’t sure if he’d made a connection or just come off as too forward, but he let it go. He figured Reeshire probably wouldn’t come back, just like all the other quiet, elusive customers who drifted in and out of his life. But to his surprise, Reeshire did come back the following week.

This time, Reeshire brought something in return: a small, delicate handmade candle—a simple thing, but carefully crafted with a scent that Seth couldn’t quite place, something earthy and warm. Reeshire handed it to him wordlessly, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Reeshire thanked him, his voice barely above a whisper. Thanking him for the records, and newfounded interest in something fresh. Seth was caught off guard, not sure how to process the sudden shift from their previous awkward exchange. But what struck him most was how Reeshire didn’t seem to expect anything in return. It wasn’t a grand gesture; it was a quiet offering, a simple act of kindness. It made Seth realize that, maybe for the first time, someone had done something for him without needing the spotlight. Without needing anything in return.

It didn’t change everything overnight, but it was the beginning of something. Seth didn’t know exactly what was unfolding, but as he found himself thinking more about Reeshire, his quiet presence, and the small gift that had come from nothing but gratitude, he realized that maybe this was what he’d been missing all along.

Over the next few weeks, their interactions became more frequent. They didn’t talk much, but Seth began to notice how Reeshire would visit the store, sometimes just to look, sometimes with a small gift—a treat he knew Seth liked, something as simple as a pack of his favorite gum or a rare brand of chocolate. Seth, in turn, started finding little ways to show Reeshire that he noticed him too. It was never anything big or flashy—just small things, gestures that said, "I see you."

One evening, after a particularly quiet shift, Seth found himself waiting outside the store when Reeshire emerged. The sun had set, and the streetlights flickered on, casting long shadows across the pavement. Reeshire paused when he saw Seth, looking a little uncertain, as though he wasn’t sure how to proceed. Seth smiled, his usual bravado giving way to something softer. Without a word, Seth stepped aside and gestured toward the small ice cream stand down the street.

ā€œWant to grab something to eat? Or, you know, not be alone for once?ā€ he offered.

Reeshire seemed to weigh the suggestion for a moment before giving a small nod. They walked toward the stand, something shifted between them—something that wasn’t about grand gestures, but about an unspoken understanding, about quiet companionship. And that was how Seth and Reeshire began, not with a loud, dramatic moment, but with a simple gift, a small gesture that neither expected, and a gradual quiet connection that neither knew they needed.
